Did you know:
- Rhubarb has been cultivated for thousands of years for medicinal purposes, but, in Europe, it only started being used as an ingredient in cooking in the 1700s.
- There are 200 seeds on the average strawberry. Because these seeds are on the outside, technically, strawberries are not berries but ‘accessory fruit’.
