  • I first had Pumpkin Pie in 2015 at the amazing Hoosier Mama Pie Company in Chicago. I have based my recipe on theirs because it was SO GOOD. One taste and I was hooked!
  • That the first pumpkin pies were actually whole baked pumpkins stuffed with assorted spices and apples.
  • 50 million pumpkin pies are baked every year[1].
  • The best pumpkin pies are not made with pumpkins but Butternut Squash (or as my Nana called it, ‘Trombone’).
